We want to make you aware of some important safety changes as we move through these unprecedented times. Currently, you must have a scheduled appointment to enter the building for any reason. Every person who enters the building will be required to wear a face covering which covers the mouth and nose. Everyone entering the building, including all staff, will be required to have their temperature taken via thermal imaging – no touch – and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be asked to exit the building. Everyone, including staff, will be required to answer a brief health screening questionnaire. If you are sick, if you have a fever, if you have been exposed to anyone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or who has exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days, you will not be allowed to enter the building. Please also continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines when in the building- allowing for a 6 foot buffer between yourself and fellow visitors/staff. The only way to enter this facility will be the front double doors except for night classes when the metal training door will be open.
There is a new drop box in the metal door next to the kitchen window on the Pension (south) side of the building. If you are dropping off any materials, mail, dues, etc. please lift the lid and slide your materials through the slot and they will be retrieved by staff. We will be disinfecting all common areas frequently in between visitors. No food will be prepared or served until further notice for any meeting or class. Classes will be limited to 20 attendees by advance registration only – absolutely no walk-ins will be allowed at this time. The same rules stated above will apply to all class attendees. Class registration can be completed on our website www.laborerslocal91.org or by calling Randy at 716-940-6007. Please look at posted classes online to see if they are being offered in person or online. Until NYS re-opens education, all expired licenses will be accepted by employers until in-person instruction resumes – this pertains primarily for NYS and OSHA issued classes including Asbestos and Mold.
Again, we ask for your patience as this process is new for all of us and will take some acclimating.
